Nursing Responsibilities
- Implementing a resident care plan
- Performing direct nursing services such as administering treatments and assisting in assessments and evaluations
- Aiding in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Delegating suitable components of the care plan to the nursing assistants, providing guidance and supervision when necessary
- Consulting with and validating data
- Recording pertinent information in the patient record
- Identifying and evaluating the resident's response to health problems and treatments
- Communicating residents' care needs to others involved in the care
- Assuming responsibility for professional growth and development
