Summary

The Production End of Line Packer is the final inspector of product. You will be responsible for inspecting each product before placing it in the shipping container, ensuring the product matches the label, placing the label in the proper location, and packing the product for shipment.

Essential Functions

  • Inspect all product for accuracy before placing in shipping container
  • Ensure product matches the food label
  • Place the food label on the product in the correct location and with accuracy
  • Communicate with the machine operator if any product is damaged or if there are inconsistencies in the product
  • Maintain a clean workspace

Education, Experience And Abilities

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a production environment is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations
  • Able to observe good manufacturing practices and USDA policies
  • Able to identify foreign matters in product and notify supervisors
  • Able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
  • Able to be self-motivated and take initiative
  • Able to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job
  • Able to maintain a neat and clean appearance and convey self-confidence
  • Able to exhibit and use proper manners and language
  • Able to perform physical requirements of the job, including bending, reaching, stooping, twisting, lifting, standing, walking, repetitive motion and the use of heavy machinery
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to frequent changes on the production line
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs individually or follow policy and procedure team lift over 50 lbs
  • Able to follow recipes and instructions with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to follow best in class manufacturing practices
  • Able to maintain ergonomics and lifting practices
  • Able to report injuries to management immediately
  • Able to wear dedicated non-slip shoes and the correct color-coded smocks as per plant requirements
  • Able to complete safety training and follow lock out/tag out processes and safety protocols

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Work in a manufacturing environment that can be noisy and require working with loud machinery
  • Wear hair nets, gloves, and aprons for food safety purposes
  • Position will require working in a slippery, cold, wet, refrigerated, or humid environment with an average temperature of below 40 Degrees consistently for entire shift

Plant and Employee Safety

  • No piercings or jewelry allowed on the manufacturing floor
  • Safety processes and protocols must be followed at all times
  • Ergonomics and lifting practices must be followed at all times
  • Any injury must be reported to management immediately
  • Dedicated non-slip shoes must be worn at all times in the plant
  • All Safety Training must be completed within the determined deadline
