RTX seeks an Operator to join a high-performing team at the heart of an important US government function which helps the nation meet its national security strategy. The selected candidate will be a team member on a high-performing Operations and Sustainment team, embedded on-site, with customer presence, for a system considered mission critical by the government. The team is responsible for successful 24x7 operations of the system, with very detailed assistance to additional parts of the system.

Responsibilities

• Works with other operators and data managers, Raytheon's factory team of engineers and technologists, subcontractors, peers, customers, and product vendors, to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 troubleshooting toward resolution of technical system anomalies.
• Maintains the environment by identifying anomalies and restoring operations or working with senior engineers for action.
• Assists with installing upgrades, monitors system and network performance; initiates troubleshooting, and works with other organizations.
• Follows existing operational policies and procedures, troubleshoots hardware, software and operating system issues, and escalates application problems to support teams.

Requirements

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance required prior to start date.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Experience with Linux commands.

Skills

• Security+ certification (preferred)
• Experience in the Intelligence Community (IC) (preferred)
• Familiar with technical documentation (preferred)
• Comfortable performing normal duties collocated with the customer and other operations center residents (preferred)
• Proven ability in strong customer support (preferred)
• Strong team player with good communications and detailed problem tracking for system reports (preferred)

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.

Schedule

This position is expected to be a weekday first shift position (6:00am - 2:00pm) with one weekend (12 hours Saturday and Sunday) approximately every 5 weeks after initial training period with commensurate shift differential. After a weekend shift worked, employee can select three days off of their choosing the following week.
