Responsibilities
- Facilitate new miner, experienced miner, hazard, site and task specific training courses as needed.
- Collaboratively engage with several key stakeholders to reach objectives.
- Collaborate with organizational subject matter experts to solve a range of complex problems and develop feasible and sustainable solutions.
- Lead the alignment and facilitation of new hire (new miner/experienced miner), Fatal Risk, NGM Train the Trainer, hazard, site, and task specific training courses as needed.
- Conduct observations and employee engagements in collaboration with the operating departments.
- Lead the implementation of a Competency Based Training program that ensures information is delivered in a manner that employees will retain.
- Lead the management of a Learning Management System (LMS) to maintain legal obligations, meet competency-based training expectations, and optimize efficiencies.
- Lead the alignment, planning and scheduling of Annual Refresher Training for all NGM employees.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- MSHA Instructor Certification (blue card) required.
- Five (5) years of experience in mining, construction or heavy equipment industry required.
- Thorough knowledge of MSHA, State, OSHA and ATF regulations required.
- Proven experience in working with peer groups and focus teams required.
- Proven attention to detail with a high level of accuracy required.
- Ability to drive results and ensure completion of time sensitive deadlines required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing others required.
- Ability to promote safety in training and lead by example required.
- Comeptent computer skills including Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook preferred.
- Proven safe work record required.
- Effective time management to organize and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced, demanding environment required.
- Demonstrate and maintain good attendance and performance records required.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze and confidently present data in a manner to promote ideas and opportunities to lead improvement preferred.
