Responsibilities
- Collaborate with field and office personnel daily to support the execution of the daily plan for installation and productive haulage.
- Identify issues or system faults that are to be recorded and reported to supervision or supporting partners.
- Offer first response to truck faults and autonomous issues.
- Troubleshoot system issues and report to internal partners for escalation or support to solve the issues.
- Maintain autonomous hardware to OEM standard.
- Inspect autonomous hardware and base truck conditions, with calibration activities of on-board systems.
- Training and competency in autonomous application.
- Maintain base truck functionality to achieve physical availability which will include daily inspections and lube requirements.
- Primary technical liaison for mechanical support including In-field calibration of on-board sensors and components such as GPS, cameras, LiDAR, radar and communications systems.
- Install and configure hardware, electrical, and network technology systems on various Heavy Mobile Equipment assets post installation.
- Point of contact for technology software installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Develop and maintain in depth technical knowledge on the AHS system, operation, and support functions.
- Provide technical service advice and information to partners and to OEM representatives.
- Participate in scheduling the refueling of autonomous equipment and other maintenance or calibration activities with support of internal partners.
- Identify areas for optimization and performance improvement throughout the shift and communicated amongst the internal partners.
- Participate in the development of a training model, curriculum, and competency evaluation for Autonomous Operations and Maintenance at NGM.
- Provide input to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for autonomous equipment for safe operations.
- Utilize employee engagement tools to gauge perception and effectiveness of autonomous project communications.
- Promote open communication between all levels of the organization.
- Participate in evaluation of all technology solutions regarding safety and health risk, production risk, and sustained feasibility.
- Ensure a safe and environmentally responsible project implementation with all staff, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure adherence to the project budget, forecasts, and reporting cadences.
Qualifications
- Five (5) years practical experience in, surface or underground mining departments under MSHA regulations preferred
- Autonomous systems or operational experience is preferred
- Demonstrated safety leadership capability for both self and team required
- Excellent leadership, people, and communication skills required
- Exhibit outstanding verbal and written communication skills required
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project preferred
- Systems experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a high standard of working ethics required
