NF/Classified MS Track Head Coach

About the role

Ooltewah Middle School is a 6‑8 school located in Ooltewah, TN, just outside of Chattanooga. Teachers at Ooltewah Middle can expect a supportive and collaborative climate, including the following supports:

• New Teacher Academy led by our instructional coach, which meets monthly to discuss ideas and solutions
• Mentor teacher for new teachers
• Every teacher is a member of a grade‑level team, and each core teacher has a content partner that meets for collaborative planning weekly
• Instructional Coach who provides job‑embedded professional development
• A strong Fine Arts Program that offers multiple opportunities for student expression

Responsibilities

• Non‑faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position.
• Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15 , 2013, are exempt from the NFHS courses.
• Maintain a current concussion certificate on file each year (School Level AD responsibility). State Law
• Maintain a current Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate on file each year (School Level AD responsibility). TSSAA/TMSAA
• When applicable, keep copies on file of completion of “Fundamentals of Coaching”.
• When applicable, keep copies on file of completion of “First Aid, Health, & Safety”.
