Responsibilities
- Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employees must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position.
- Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course before May 15, 2013, are exempt from taking the NFHS courses.
- Keep a concussion certificate and Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate on file every year.
- Completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching" and "First Aid, Health & Safety" courses are required when applicable.
- New requirement: Completion of “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course is required annually.
- All coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
