About the Role

Brown Middle School is a 6-8 school located in Harrison, TN. We have a collaborative atmosphere and a culture that promotes life-long learning. We are focused on motivating our students to succeed by building their self-confidence, as well as their knowledge base, to achieve great things. We pride ourselves on being laser-focused on teaching and learning and basing every decision on what is best for students. We are looking for teachers who are enthusiastic about collaborating with their colleagues, committed to motivating students, and driven to learning how to improve their teaching craft.

Responsibilities

• Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.
• State Law requires the School Level Athletic Director (AD) to keep the following certificates on file every year:
  • Concussion Certificate
  • Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate
• TSSAA/TMSAA requirements (see health-safety-policies):
  • When applicable, completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching" – Copy on file.
  • When applicable, completion of "First Aid, Health, & Safety" – Copy on file.
• NEW – When applicable, completion of the “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course – Copy on file every year. (Link)
