NF/Classified HS Wrestling Assistant Coach

Responsibilities
- Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position. Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, are exempt from the NFHS courses.
- School Level Athletic Director (AD) must keep a copy of the concussion certificate on file every year.
- School Level AD must keep a copy of the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate on file every year.
- When applicable, completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching" must be documented and kept on file.
- When applicable, completion of "First Aid, Health, & Safety" must be documented and kept on file.
- Completion of the “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course must be documented and kept on file every year. Course link.
- All Coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course. Course link.
- Refer to TSSAA/TMSAA health and safety policies for additional requirements.
