News Photographer

About the role

We are seeking a creative full-time News Photographer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least one year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment.

Responsibilities

• Cover day-to-day general, in-depth features and investigative assignments
• Shoot full high definition (HD) on media cards and edit on desktops and laptops
• Strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems
• Excellent people skills
• Strong work ethic
• A great attitude
• A passion for storytelling

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least one year of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and ability to operate news vehicles
• Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, live shots, and natural sound packages
• Able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
