Summary
Entravision is looking for a creative, fast, and highly reliable Editor to join our national Spanish-language streaming news team. This role requires a strong visual storyteller who thrives in a fast-paced, breaking news environment and can produce compelling content across multiple platforms.
Essential Functions
- Edit daily news content, including reporter packages, interviews, breaking news, features, promos, and social media videos.
- Produce polished, engaging stories with strong pacing, storytelling, and visual creativity.
- Work closely with producers, reporters, writers, and graphic designers to deliver high-quality content on deadline.
- Quickly adapt to breaking news and changing editorial priorities.
- Select compelling video, natural sound, music, and graphics that enhance storytelling.
- Ensure all content meets editorial, technical, and broadcast-quality standards.
- Edit content for streaming, broadcast, digital, and social media platforms.
- Maintain organized project files and meet multiple daily deadlines.
Required Education And Experience
- Minimum 3 years of professional editing experience, preferably in a television newsroom or digital news environment.
- Fluent, near-native Spanish writing and speaking skills are required.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro and modern non-linear editing systems.
- Excellent storytelling instincts and a creative visual style.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable, collaborative, and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Experience editing news packages and breaking news coverage is highly preferred.
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during major breaking news events.
