New York Technology Audit & Advisory (Financial Services) Manager

About the role

The Technology Audit & Advisory Manager role focuses on helping clients better manage risks associated with their use of technology, protecting and enhancing enterprise value. Protiviti's Financial Services practice is widely recognized as a leading provider of consulting services across the three lines of defense for financial institutions.

Responsibilities

• Partner with clients to solve complex business problems and provide impactful advice and solutions.
• Develop lasting relationships with client personnel and further these relationships through quality product delivery.
• Foster a network within the business community and serve as an ambassador of Protiviti in the market.
• Mentor, train, and coach Consultants and Senior Consultants to facilitate the successful completion of project work plans.
• Partner with highly regulated clients and deepen expertise in financial services regulations.
• Focus on clients and engagements in the financial services industry, including cybersecurity, cloud assurance, project risk advisory, technology risk management, and assessment, IT general controls, AI and data governance, data privacy, technology regulations, enterprise applications, technology resilience, IT Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with IT audit methodologies and developing necessary audit deliverables, including process flows, work programs, audit reports, and control summaries.
• Knowledge of commonly used internal control frameworks, including COBIT, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS, ITIL, etc.
• Sarbanes-Oxley Act provisions and methodologies for achieving compliance, particularly the technology implications and requirements.
• Hands-on industry knowledge of financial services regulations.
• A passion for the latest trends and developments in data and technology, including cybersecurity, cloud, data governance, privacy, analytics, enterprise applications, disaster recovery, systems development methodologies, etc.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
• Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Python, and/or RPA Solutions.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, CISA, CISM, CISSP, or similar.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or business-related field).
• 5+ years of experience in technology audit, consulting, assurance services, risk and control programs, or related fields, preferably in professional services or within the financial services industry.

$114,000.00 - $182,000.00

Schedule

Full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the range is dependent upon experience, skills, and geographic work location.
