New York Office - Corporate Restructuring Mid-Level Associate

About the role

The Financial Restructuring Practice Group at Winston & Strawn's New York office is seeking an associate with at least four years of experience in restructuring matters, including out-of-court restructurings and workouts and complex business reorganizations (Chapter 11) representing lenders and debtors.

Responsibilities

• Negotiating and drafting loan documents
• Exercising remedies
• Drafting core restructuring documents and pleadings, including plans of reorganization, restructuring support agreements, first-day motions, and other chapter 11 filings
• Working on sophisticated in-court and out-of-court restructurings for institutional and private credit lenders and large public and private companies across a range of industries

Requirements

• Extensive experience in restructuring matters
• Admission to the New York Bar

• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong organization, analytical, writing, and verbal skills

Skills

• Strong negotiation and drafting skills
• Experience with complex legal matters
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
