About the role
This position coordinates orientation events for all incoming Wake Tech students.
Responsibilities
- Performs orientation events at various times of day, evenings, and weekends on multiple campuses
- Prepares campus for orientation sessions
- Presents information at orientation sessions
- Attends all Orientation Leader trainings
- Takes students and their guests on campus tours
- Affords assistance in tracking data of in-person orientation attendees
- Affords assistance in inventory tracking of NSO materials
Requirements
- Must have positive communication and interpersonal skills
- Must have enthusiasm and energy
- Familiarity with college resources
- Ability to be punctual and responsible
- Ability to work as part of a team
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in a curriculum course at Wake Technical Community College, except for the summer semester, or must have previously worked as a Wake Tech Orientation Leader
- Must have completed or be in the process of completing one semester at Wake Technical Community College
- Must be in good academic standing (minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0)
