New Store Opening Traveling Trainer

Better Buzz Coffee is a local USDA Organic Certified Coffee Roaster with multiple locations, sourcing and roasting all coffees in San Diego, CA. About the role

A Traveling Trainer at Better Buzz Coffee leads, instructs, and coaches all new store team members to ensure an exceptional guest experience as we expand into new markets. This full-time position requires extensive travel, supporting new stores from two to six weeks during and after café openings. When not assigned to a new opening, trainers will support existing locations. Better Buzz Coffee covers all travel expenses while deployed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support new team members with shoulder-to-shoulder training
• Educate and train hands-on work to new hires and team members
• Improve training processes to ensure effective and thorough education
• Ensure efficient and effective store operations within given guidelines
• Analyze training needs for better performance
• Coach team on quality, safety, and guest experience
• Develop and mentor others with passion
• Adhere to company policies and procedures
• Flexible and available to work all shifts—days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• 1 year of hospitality management or kitchen experience preferred
• Experience in a high-growth, multi-location food services or hospitality business preferred
• Mastery of the training function preferred
• 1 year of new location opening experience required
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills required
• 100% willingness to travel
• Must be available for holidays, nights, weekends, and able to work 40+ hours per week

Pay

$23.00/hour for this full-time position.
