Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Develops and assists in maintaining new business volume with identifiable agencies in applicable national marketing regions.
  • Develops and organizes the new products and related workflow through the applicable insurance company and Windmark Crop Division.
  • Makes sure deadlines are met for any monitored work output within the process.
  • Coordinates the Windmark Crop Division work by planning and directing work assignments involved with developing new products, provisions, regulations, and/or applicable software.
  • Checks all layers of the new products for accuracy, identifies and marks errors, and makes corrections.
  • Maintains accuracy and includes new or changed information in the new products software and updates the software to comply with rules and regulations.
  • Compiles database information to create reports in response to requests.
  • Trains staff members and/or agents in the use of the new products software and the interpretation of source documents.
  • Organizes the related workflow through the applicable insurance company, Windmark Crop Division, branch agencies, and/or affiliated agencies.
  • Makes sure deadlines are met for work output within the agencies.
  • Answers questions and provides information to agents, agricultural producers, and staff members regarding the assessment of new products, software, and similar matters/documents, communicating by phone, mail, and/or email.
  • Completes the required 90 Day Business Plan, if applicable.
  • Informs the President of the status and concerns of Windmark direct agents and/or affiliated agencies.
  • Maintains awareness of new software releases and upgrades to ensure proper use and utilization.
  • Makes sure outgoing reports and policy forms are completed correctly.
  • Complies with management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

Qualifications

  • Education / Experience: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ten (10) or more years of experience in the use of insurance company equipment, agency equipment, and general office practices.
  • Skills: In-depth knowledge of MPCI, CH, and specialty programs and the applicable underwriting rules and procedures. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to effectively communicate and maintain business relationships with insurance company personnel and outside resource customers. Ability to perform basic and complex mathematical calculations. Ability to work well with people in a team environment. Ability to work from oral and written communications. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to assist in other work-related areas as required. Ability to comprehend questions and concerns over the telephone and to provide correct and courteous answers. Ability to effectively communicate and maintain business relationships with insurance company personnel and outside resource customers. Ability to learn and apply detailed information about the industry and insurance company's products, services, processes, and systems used in the industry and the companies.
