About the role

The New Product Development Manager will lead the development of high speed datacom and telecom solutions used in AI applications, working closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and implements strategic product and annual business plans targeting markets, industries and customers.
  • Gathers technical VOC from customers and translates it into engineering requirements for the development team.
  • Translates system-level customer requirements into mechanical specifications for the development team, including cable routing, bending radius, shielding/grounding schemes, thermal paths, connector mate/unmate forces, and mechanical interfaces.
  • Increase pipeline growth, customer wins, and revenue per million released (RPM).
  • Works with manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure capex and product costs align with market conditions.
  • Leads customer qualification activities, including on-site validation and acceptance, and drives cross-functional teams to diagnose and implement corrective actions for thermal, mechanical, and electrical issues.
  • Tracks capacity and drives capital investments supporting forecasted demand.
  • Drives the closure of commercial negotiations with customers on new platform partnerships.
  • Identifies opportunities to establish and develop industry partner relationships.
  • Supports current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, ISO, and EH&S Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Tracks and understands the competitive landscape and establishes and drives the technology roadmap.
  • Develops relationships with key customers and enables collaboration to align their technology roadmap with Molex's development plan.
  • Leads development projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develops marketing collateral to promote new technologies and gain market penetration.
  • Drives product and technology releases internally while working with marketing communications on launch strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Engineering
  • 4+ Years of experience within the high-speed Datacom Market
  • 2+ Years of Sales Experience calling on Datacom accounts
  • 2+ Years of Product Management Experience

Qualifications

  • Technical background (electrical or mechanical)
  • Sales experience or product engineering
  • Experience working with semiconductor/re-timer companies
  • Experience in negotiating and working with contract manufacturers and electronics market OEMs

Pay

$130,000 - $160,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
