New Loan Audit & Customer Service Specialist
About the role
Utah Housing Corporation (UHC) is seeking a full-time, in-office New Loan Audit & Customer Service Specialist to support daily mortgage servicing activities. This role plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of newly acquired mortgage loans, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining an organized office environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and audit loan data against Deeds of Trust, Notes, and other loan documents
- Verify first and second mortgage information and make necessary corrections
- Complete related tasks to ensure loans are accurately reflected in the servicing system
- Respond to homeowner inquiries, handle inbound and outbound calls, assist with payoff requests and mortgage verifications
- Support walk-in customers with payments and counseling appointments
- Process loan-related documentation
- Identify and route hazard insurance correspondence
- Maintain accurate loan records
- Support a variety of servicing functions to provide an exceptional customer experience
- Ensure customer forms, payment envelopes, counseling rooms, and printers are properly stocked and operational
- Cross train in other servicing functions as needed for departmental support and backup coverage
Requirements
- A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- One year of customer service, mortgage servicing, call center, or related experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational ability
- A professional phone presence
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- The ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively independently and as part of a team

Pay
This position pays between $41,600 and $51,043 annually, based on education and experience.
