The Future Field Leaders Program at Hoar is a hands-on apprenticeship designed for recent high school graduates who want to jumpstart a career in commercial construction. You'll earn real-world experience working alongside industry professionals, gain valuable technical and leadership skills, and learn what it takes to manage major construction projects from the ground up. Through on-the-job training, mentorship from experienced construction leaders, and exposure to every phase of a construction project, you'll build skills that can lead to future opportunities in field supervision, project management, and construction leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in daily and weekly safety meetings
  • Assisting with jobsite safety inspections and reporting
  • Learning how construction schedules are developed and managed
  • Tracking project materials and deliveries
  • Supporting quality assurance and quality control efforts
  • Assisting with project documentation and document management
  • Learning the RFI and submittal process
  • Helping verify work is installed according to project plans and specifications
  • Participating in trade partner and project coordination meetings
  • Assisting with punch list development and project closeout activities

Requirements

  • Recent high school graduate (or GED equivalent)
  • Interested in building a career in construction
  • Motivated to learn and take initiative
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work full-time (40+ hours per week)
  • Valid driver's license required

No degree or construction experience required. What matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and desire to learn.
