Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, compassionate patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses provide care for pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations.
About the Role
The new nursing graduate residency program provides supportive integration from student nurse to professional nurse into the healthcare system according to the American Nurse Association and organizational scope and standards of practice. The program is for any registered nurse with less than 1 year of practice. Our residency program offers potential placement for the medical/surgical department, surgical services, emergency department and the clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver care utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe, effective, compassionate patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.
- Provide care for pediatric, adult and geriatric patient populations.
- Participate in the new graduate nurse residency program.
- Engage in continuous feedback and evaluation for professional development in communication, teamwork, and resilience.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- Soon to be licensed as registered nurses (can apply)
- Must have active RN license by start of cohort
- BLS, ACLS, PALS certification to be completed within 6 months of hire, if applicable for department
- TNCC, ENPC certification to be completed within 1 year of hire, if applicable for department
