Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Collaborate with patients and their significant others/families to develop individualized plans of care.
• Provide education related to disease processes and treatment plans.
• Serve as a strong advocate for patients.
• Coordinate care with physicians, ancillary services, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Provide direction and supervision to supportive personnel.
• Care for patients with a variety of acute, chronic, medical, surgical, and other conditions on Medical‑Surgical units.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association
