New Client Investment Consultant - Westlake, TX
About the role
Schwab’s Prospect Conversion Team is an integral part of the broader Investor Services organization and is primarily responsible for the retail acquisition of prospects as well as new retail clients who have been at Schwab less than 90 days. We strive to create a consistent and exceptional experience to ensure every client experiences the very best Schwab has to offer. We accomplish this by focusing on the client’s holistic needs, assisting with new account openings, proposing relevant solutions, and navigating them through the steps necessary to ensure they are in a fully integrated relationship with Schwab.
Responsibilities
- Proactively engage with prospects and new-to-retail clients through various channels including inbound/outbound calls, referrals from retail partners, and email.
- Identify business development opportunities through needs-based discovery and effectively position appropriate products and solutions.
- Demonstrate an entrepreneurial mindset to maximize your impact on clients and the firm.
- Balance multiple priorities with a focus on engaging with as many prospects as possible while maintaining the highest quality standards.
- Determine and understand client goals/objectives and position suitable offerings based on individual needs, referring to a branch Financial Consultant when appropriate.
- Shape the client’s opinions and actions to gain their trust and confidence.
- Consistently deliver unparalleled value and superior service.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in financial services experience.
- Valid and active FINRA Series 7.
- Valid and active FINRA Series 66 (63/65); may be obtained within a 120-day condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
- Financial business development experience (highly preferred).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of Schwab’s products and services (highly preferred).
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively, and work with minimal supervision.

Pay
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
