About the role

As a Schwab Senior Wealth Consultant, you are responsible for providing high-touch service, ongoing comprehensive guidance, and advice to clients within the context of a dedicated relationship. The Senior Wealth Consultant works across a wide spectrum of investment needs to help clients manage large and complex portfolios, including financial planning, estate planning, investment management, retirement planning, education planning, active trading, banking, insurance, and lending needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a practice of primarily Ultra High Net Worth clients and provide world-class service to clients with complex wealth management needs.
  • Retain existing clients, attract new clients, and generate growth as measured by assets under management, wealth management solutions, and client promoter scores.
  • Partner with wealth specialists to offer solutions including banking, lending, and trust.
  • Take an in-depth consultative approach to analyze, assess, and identify appropriate solutions to meet client needs across Schwab’s wealth management offering.
  • Develop customized financial strategies for prospects and existing clients.
  • Assess suitability and recommend appropriate retirement income advice and distribution strategies for clients living in retirement.
  • Deepen client relationships through engagement, discovery, commitment, and ongoing service.

Requirements

  • Series 7 license
  • Series 66 (or 63/65)
  • Life & Health Insurance license
  • 7+ years financial services experience
  • 2+ years Ultra High Net Worth client experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CFP, CFA, CWS, CHFC, or CPWA designation
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Collaborate effectively with partners and specialists to provide holistic client solutions.
