About the role

New! Canterbury Companions and ILST (Life Skills Training) are looking for experienced individuals to support clients in various activities of daily living within community settings. This is a results-driven position that helps people recover from conditions such as strokes, concussions, and brain injuries.

Responsibilities

• Support clients with safety, organization, medical, and therapeutic rehab tasks.
• Remind clients about medication schedules.
• Facilitate social interactions and entertainment.
• Help clients manage finances and develop social skills.

Requirements

• One to two years of home health care experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and Car.
• Great time management and organizational skills.
• Smartphone and Tablet Skills.
• Background Check and Drug Testing before hire.

Qualifications

• Experience helping people recovering from strokes, concussions, and brain injury.
• Within community settings.
• Team member supports clients with safety, organization, medical, and therapeutic rehab tasks.
• Ability to help clients with medication reminders, social entertainment, money management, and social skills.

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and options.
• Ability to adapt to different client needs and preferences.
