About the role
New! Canterbury Companions and ILST (Life Skills Training) are looking for experienced individuals to support clients in various activities of daily living within community settings. This is a results-driven position that helps people recover from conditions such as strokes, concussions, and brain injuries.
Responsibilities
- Support clients with safety, organization, medical, and therapeutic rehab tasks.
- Remind clients about medication schedules.
- Facilitate social interactions and entertainment.
- Help clients manage finances and develop social skills.
Requirements
- One to two years of home health care experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and Car.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Smartphone and Tablet Skills.
- Background Check and Drug Testing before hire.
Qualifications
- Experience helping people recovering from strokes, concussions, and brain injury.
- Within community settings.
- Team member supports clients with safety, organization, medical, and therapeutic rehab tasks.
- Ability to help clients with medication reminders, social entertainment, money management, and social skills.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of community resources and options.
- Ability to adapt to different client needs and preferences.
