New Business Development

  • Generate new revenue by selling season ticket memberships, partial plans, and other ticket products.
  • Make proactive outbound sales calls to prospective customers, including primary and secondary market purchasers, former season ticket members, and assigned leads.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, referrals, and community engagement.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified sales prospects.

Client Relationship Management

  • Conduct in-arena and off-site sales appointments with prospective clients and business partners.
  • Deliver professional sales presentations and consultative ticket solutions based on customer needs.
  • Build long-term relationships through seat visits, follow-up communications, and exceptional customer service.
  • Distribute ticket information through phone, email, and in-person interactions.

Sales Operations & Event Support

  • Plan and execute direct marketing initiatives for season memberships and partial plans within established sales goals and timelines.
  • Track and report sales activities, appointments, outreach efforts, and revenue using organizational reporting tools.
  • Support game day operations through client entertainment, seat visits, in-arena sales tables, and other assigned responsibilities.
  • Perform additional sales and departmental duties as assigned.

Brand Representation & Professional Development

  • Represent the Pittsburgh Penguins with professionalism in all interactions with clients, partners, and the community.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to deliver an exceptional fan experience.
  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve sales performance, customer relationships, and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of successful ticket sales or comparable sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales goals.
  • Strong customer service mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional fan experiences.
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Able to build relationships and network throughout the business community.
  • Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, Penguins home games, and other arena events.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience conducting consultative or business-to-business (B2B) sales.
  • Proven success with prospecting, lead generation, and closing new business opportunities.
  • Experience delivering executive-level sales presentations.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and ticket sales platforms.
  • Passion for sports, live entertainment, and relationship-based sales.
