About the role

ABI Resources seeks individuals who are passionate about serving others and providing quality care. This role involves supporting individuals with disabilities in various aspects of their daily lives, ensuring their safety, and fostering healthy relationships.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent safety and health for clients.
• Provide companionship, personal hygiene assistance, and help with daily activities such as shopping, cooking, and cleaning.
• Schedule and attend medical and therapeutic appointments with clients.
• Encourage regular exercise, socialization, and entertainment to promote overall well-being.
• Support clients in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Two years of experience working with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Proof of insurance.
• At least 18 years of age.
• A letter from a person or employer verifying field experience.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect privacy.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
