About the Role

Join a highly respected and experienced neurosurgery team as an Advanced Practice Provider within CHI Health, part of CommonSpirit Health System—the nation’s largest faith-based health system. You will provide comprehensive inpatient neurosurgery services, working alongside an established team of Advanced Practice Providers in the Neuroscience Institute, which integrates leading experts in neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology, and neurosurgery to deliver advanced care for complex neurological disorders.

This opportunity is ideal for board-eligible or board-certified providers passionate about patient-centered neurosurgery, collaboration, and thriving in a collegial environment. Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a commitment to teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient rounding and consults for neurosurgical patients.
  • Perform minor procedures, including placing, removing, and managing ventriculostomies, ICP monitors, and surgical drains.
  • Support post-procedure follow-up care and coordinate ongoing care for neurosurgical patients.

Schedule

  • 3 x 12-hour shifts, including rotating weekends.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (required).
  • Board-eligible or board-certified as an Advanced Practice Provider.
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska and DEA certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • 1+ years of experience as a provider (preferred).

Work Environment

  • Primary practice location at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • Join a well-respected team of 5 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.
  • CHI Health operates 5 hospitals in the Omaha-metro area, with Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) Bergan campus serving as the academic hub.
