About the Role

Join a highly respected and experienced neurosurgery team as an Advanced Practice Provider within CHI Health, part of CommonSpirit Health System—the nation’s largest faith-based health system. You will provide comprehensive inpatient neurosurgery services alongside an established team of Advanced Practice Providers. The Neuroscience Institute integrates leading medical experts in neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology, and neurosurgery to deliver advanced care for patients with complex neurological disorders.

This opportunity is ideal for board-eligible or board-certified providers passionate about patient-centered neurosurgery, collaboration, and thriving in a collegial environment. Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient rounding and consults for neurosurgical patients.
  • Perform minor procedures, including placing, removing, and managing ventriculostomies, ICP monitors, and surgical drains.
  • Support post-procedure follow-up care and coordinate care for neurosurgical patients.

Schedule

  • 3 × 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule, including weekends.

Work Environment

  • Join a well-respected team of 5 physicians and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Primary practice location at CUMC Bergan Mercy Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center.
  • CHI Health operates 5 hospitals in the Omaha-metro area, with Creighton University Medical Center (CUMC) Bergan campus serving as the academic hub.
  • Partnership with Creighton University School of Medicine enhances healthcare, education, and research opportunities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree.
  • Board-eligible or board-certified.
  • Ability to obtain licensure in Nebraska and DEA certification.
  • BLS certification.
  • 1+ years of experience as a provider (preferred).

Pay

$128,000 – $150,000 per year.
