About the role
The Neurosurgeon - Spine will provide quality-driven, patient-centered services for general neurosurgery with a spine focus. They will join the progressive and rapidly expanding Neuroscience Institute in Omaha, Nebraska, which includes a strategic plan for developing a neurosurgery residency program in the future.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neurosurgery services in an academically driven environment
- Collaborate with leading medical experts in neurology, neuroradiology, neuro-critical care, radiation oncology, and neurosurgery to offer advanced care for complex neurological disorders
- Offer thrombectomy capable stroke certified center services with a biplane suite
- Practice at the Creighton University Medical Center Bergan Mercy as part of a Level I Trauma Center
- Benefit from modern OR equipment including Kinevo microscope with fluorescence, Stealth navigation, O-Arm, etc.
- Work in a collegial environment with supportive partners and APP support
- Participate in academic activities at Creighton University School of Medicine
- Utilize electronic medical records via Epic
- Engage with a large referral base from Medical Group Enterprise
- Assume call responsibilities 1 in 5 times
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Board eligible or board certified in neurosurgery
- Able to obtain licensure in Nebraska
- Able to obtain DEA certification
- BLS certification
Qualifications
- Experience in spine surgery is preferred
- Ability to work in an academic and clinical setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills

- Compensation range: $800,000 - $900,000 /Year

Schedule
Full-time schedule with 80 hours per pay period.
