Neurosurgeon - Locum Tenens Coverage

About the Role

The neurosurgeon will provide comprehensive 24-hour call coverage at a Level I trauma center, managing trauma calls, new consultations, and hospital rounds for inpatient neurological cases.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency trauma calls and conduct necessary surgical interventions.
• Manage consultations and oversee inpatient neurological patient care.
• Coordinate with support staff, including advanced practice providers (APPs) and backup surgeons.

Requirements

• Board certification is negotiable.
• Ability to provide continuous emergency coverage during assigned shifts.
• Experience in neurological surgery and trauma care preferred.

Additional Details

• Caseload varies; primarily adult patient population.
• On-site role with no prescriptive authority required.
• Support from advanced practice providers and backup surgeons available.
