About the Role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year, with continuation and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).
Responsibilities
- Interpreting MRI and CT imaging studies of the central nervous system as well as the head and neck.
- Providing consultation to referring physicians.
- Performing lumbar punctures, intrathecal therapy, and myelograms.
- Participating in case review series and didactic lectures with residents and neuroradiology fellows.
- Developing research credentials with opportunities for a specialized research focus in consultation with the Division Chief.
Requirements
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
- American Board of Radiology certified or eligible.
- Completion of a diagnostic radiology residency.
- Currently situated in an ACGME neuroradiology fellowship program.
- Qualified to apply for clinical attending privileges.
About the Work Environment
Penn Radiology provides clinical services for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Pennsylvania Hospital, Philadelphia Veteran Affairs Medical Center, as well as affiliated outpatient imaging centers located in Pennsylvania.
Instructors are provided research and educational support to prepare them for an academic and/or clinical career.
