Neuroradiologist - Instructor

About the role

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Responsibilities

• Interpreting MRI and CT imaging studies of the central nervous system as well as the head and neck
• Providing consultation to referring physicians
• The performance of lumbar punctures, intrathecal therapy, and myelograms
• Participating in case review series and didactic lectures with residents and neuroradiology fellows
• Developing research credentials with support from Penn Radiology

Requirements

• Expertise in neuroradiology
• M.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree
• American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility
• Completed diagnostic radiology residency
• Currently situated in an ACGME neuroradiology fellowship program
• Qualified to apply for clinical attending privileges

Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with a specialization in neuroradiology.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team are essential.
