About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuroradiology.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology
- Neuroradiology CAQ-eligible
- Completion of a two-year neuroradiology fellowship is strongly recommended
Responsibilities
Teaching
- Daily clinical supervision, teaching residents and fellows during readouts and conferences
- Participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties
- Teaching medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital
- Serving in an administrative, educational leadership role within the Neuroradiology division
Clinical
- Providing outstanding clinical service to all referring clinicians
- Expert clinical consultation to partners in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology
- Participating in the Neuroradiology off-hours on-call program, including evening, night, and weekend coverage
Research or Scholarship
- Leading the development of a focused body of research in a field within Neuroradiology
- Mentoring junior faculty, providing strong guidance and support in developing clinical or basic research careers
- Evidence of scholarship is required in the clinician-educator track
