Neuroradiologist - Academic Clinician - Senior Ranks
About the role
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of neuroradiology. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree. Applicants must be certified by the American Board of Radiology and be neuroradiology CAQ-eligible. Completion of a two-year neuroradiology fellowship is strongly recommended.
Responsibilities
- Daily clinical supervision
- Teaching residents and fellows during readouts and conferences
- Participating in interdisciplinary conferences with clinical sub-specialties
- Teaching medical students rotating through the Department of Radiology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, and Pennsylvania Hospital
- Providing outstanding clinical service to all referring clinicians
- Expert clinical consultation to partners in the departments of Emergency Medicine, Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, and Ophthalmology
- Participating in the Neuroradiology off-hours on-call program, including evening, night, and weekend coverage
Requirements
Rank will be commensurate with experience.
Qualifications
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology
- Neuroradiology CAQ-eligible
- Completion of a two-year neuroradiology fellowship is strongly recommended
Skills
Applicants should be accomplished educators and be expected to serve in an administrative, educational leadership role within the Neuroradiology division.
