Neuropsychology Technician

Job Duties

  • Administers and scores more than 50 different verbal, nonverbal, written and computerized neuropsychological and psychological tests in outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Reviews neuropsychological examination records and ensures they are complete and accurate.
  • Maintains patient test files.
  • Affords assistance in ordering test materials.
  • Affords assistance in scheduling assessments for inpatients and outpatients.
  • Affords assistance in maintaining neuropsychology triage database.
  • Helps gather special records such as previous medical and psychological reports from other services as required to complete patient evaluations.
  • Affords assistance with clinical teaching presentations by organizing test data and preparing slides/copies for presentation.
  • Affords assistance with one-on-one training and supervision of psychology externs and interns in test administration and scoring.
  • Performs job functions adhering to service principles with a customer service focus of innovation, service excellence, and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers, and others.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field.
  • Experience working with children and their parents.
  • Working familiarity with PC hardware and basic software.
  • Ability to assist in supervision and training of neuropsychological assessment procedures.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree: Psychology

  • Knowledge of neuropsychological testing and scoring procedures.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
