About the role

The Neurophysiology Technologist I works in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Main Campus McWane Building.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEGs, LTVM EEGs, and Ambulatory EEGs in accordance with department policies and procedures.
• Use the 10/20 and 10/10 systems for EEG electrode placement.
• Apply collodian to EEG electrodes.
• Identify EEG normal variants and abnormalities.
• Provide quality EEG recordings based on patient medical history and EEG findings.
• Demonstrate a flexible and positive attitude.
• Collaborate well with team members and management.

Requirements

• Must have a working knowledge of Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology.
• Effective verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to relate to diverse age and demographic backgrounds.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Independent work with efficient time management and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail, teamwork skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Registered EEG Technician credential.
• Associates Degree in Electroneurodiagnostics Technology.
• One year job experience as Staff Level in Laboratory Services.

Skills

• Knowledge of EEG electrode placement techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot EEG equipment.
• Understanding of Neuroanatomy and Neurophysiology.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Benefits
