Neurology RN Team Leader

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) oversees clinical operations, staff training, and patient care coordination in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate clinical training, orientation, and evaluate staff competencies.
• Manage clinical schedules and provide clinical leadership, supervising LPNs and Medical Assistants.
• Triage and assess patients to identify early signs of complications.
• Educate patients and families on health promotion and disease management.
• Safely administer medications following policy and maintain CLIA Waived Lab standards.
• Lead and collaborate on patient care and participate in Performance Improvement activities.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission and NYS DOH.
• Assist with in-office procedures and perform Non Stress Testing on OB patients.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited RN program with at least 1 year of healthcare experience.
• Current NY State RN license and CPR certification within one week of hire.
• Preferred experience in primary or specialty care and supervisory roles.
• Driver’s license.

Work Environment

• Office-based, fast-paced setting.
• Exposure to equipment disinfectants.
• Requires mobility and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Patient demographics include all age groups.
• Clinical level 3 access to patient information based on HIPAA roles.
