Neurology Nurse Practitioner - Locum Tenens

Role Overview This inpatient neurology nurse practitioner position involves providing day-shift coverage in a structured hospital environment. The clinician will work solo alongside 1-2 neurologists, managing general and stroke neurology cases. Key Responsibilities Perform daily patient rounds and respond promptly to stroke alerts.Conduct independent neurological and physical examinations, evaluate complex histories, and develop differential diagnoses.Order, interpret, and manage diagnostic tests and medications.Rounding in ICU, coordinating referrals, discharges, and patient education.Handle emergent consults and manage stroke and neurological cases. Qualifications & Skills Board certification in neurology or related specialty.Active state license or IMLC certification.Proficiency in neurological exams and clinical decision-making.Prescriptive authority, ACLS, and BLS certifications.Inpatient neurology and stroke experience preferred. Additional Details Work hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.On-site role with no call required.Involves managing emergent cases and coordinating patient care.
