Neurohospitalist

About the role

Monument Health Rapid City Hospital is looking for a full-time Neurohospitalist. We are looking for a Neurohospitalist to join a well-established inpatient group practice. This is a fulfilling hospital-employed position in a collegial group environment, with an emphasis on work-life balance.

Responsibilities

• Work 182 shifts annually at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital (417‑bed tax‑exempt regional tertiary referral, Level II Trauma Center).
• Generally, 2 Neurohospitalists are on service at a time, alternating night call and stroke call.
• Supported by excellent 24/7/365 Neurointerventional and neurosurgical services.
• Consulting service only — all patients are admitted to the hospitalist or intensivist services.
• EEG reads are performed by Epileptologists within 24 hours.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible/Board Certified (BE/BC) in Neurology.
• Additional vascular or other fellowship training is a plus and may result in additional compensation, but is not required.

Pay

• Base salary of $371,000.
• Productivity bonus incentive opportunities start from day one.
• Starting and retention bonuses of up to $174,000.

Schedule

Full‑time position: 10 hours on site plus 14 hours of call coverage per shift (approximately 182 shifts annually).
