About the role
Henry Ford Macomb Hospital’s Department of Neurology is seeking a board-certified neurologist to join our multi-disciplinary neuro-hospitalist team. The program has over 35 years of experience in the medical, interventional, and surgical management of neurological conditions, supported by eight fellowship-trained vascular neurologists, six neuro-intensivists, three cerebrovascular neurosurgeons, three interventional endovascular specialists, and large Departments of Neurology, Neurosurgery, Emergency Medicine, and Neuroradiology.
Henry Ford is a leader in pioneering new treatments for stroke and critical care and is recognized worldwide for its laboratory, translational, and clinical research. This subspecialty practice position offers time for educational and other academic endeavors, including a teaching role with medical students, neurology residents, and fellows. A tenure-track academic appointment is offered through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Provide neuro-hospitalist care within a multi-disciplinary team
- Participate in educational and academic activities, including teaching medical students, neurology residents, and fellows
Requirements
- Board certification in Neurology
- Completion of an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program
Qualifications
- Vascular Neurology Fellowship or vascular experience preferred
Schedule
- APP support 5 days a week shift model
- Call coverage: 1-2 days per month
