Job Summary

CoxHealth South is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Tech to join their team at 3801 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri, United States of America, 65807. This position works in a rotating schedule with varied hours.

About the Role

The Neurodiagnostic Tech plays a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various neurological conditions through Intraoperative Monitoring, EEG, and Nerve Conduction Studies. They interact with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure a safe and caring environment.

Responsibilities

• Interacts professionally with patients, physicians, and staff to document suspected central nervous system disorders.
• Performs Intraoperative Monitoring, EEG, and Nerve Conduction Studies.
• Works with patients, staff, and physicians to assist in diagnosing and treating conditions such as headaches, seizures, dizziness, strokes, and neuropathies.
• Tests nerve function during spine and brain surgeries.
• Reports to the Neurodiagnostic Supervisor of the department.

Requirements

• Education:
  • Required: One of the following: Associate's Degree in an allied health related field (biology, chemistry, nursing, etc.) and no registry; High School Diploma or Equivalent AND 2 years' related experience; Bachelor's Degree in related field within one year of hire.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in related field.
• Experience:
  • Preferred: Previous healthcare experience.
• Skills:
  • Proficient in medical terminology.
  • Knowledgeable of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Computer and Microsoft Office skills.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • Preferred: Registry from ABRET, AAET, ABEM, or BRPT.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Approved registry from ABRET, AAET, ABEM, or BRPT.
