Neurodiagnostic Tech Neurology Deer Valley

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, coordinate, and perform nerve conduction studies.
• Present results to a neurology physician for interpretation.
• Provide direct patient care and ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
• Prepare patients and the study for positive outcomes, including standard precautionary procedures.
• Explain the procedure to patients and address any concerns.
• Schedule and navigate patients within the clinic.
• Summarize patient's neurologic status and clinical history from medical records, patients, or other knowledgeable sources.
• Perform standard and complex EMG/NCS studies, EEG studies, and autonomic studies.
• Obtain recordings and deliver results to the physician for interpretation.
• Report critical test results to the interpreting physician and document all communications according to facility policy and procedure.
• Maintain equipment and inventory of supplies, reorder as necessary.
• Detect instrument malfunctions, make minor maintenance adjustments, or report need for major repairs to Clinical Engineering.

Requirements

• Board Certification in NCS by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine - Preferred
• High School Diploma or GED - Required
• Completion of NCS training program or Associates/Bachelor's in related field - Required
• Completion of electroneurodiagnostic training program or Associates/Bachelor's in related field - Required
• 6 months related experience - Preferred

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, Associates/Bachelor's in related field.
• Licenses and Certifications: EMG/NCS Certificate - Preferred.
