Neuro Step Down Nurse (Part Time) (Days or Nights)

About the role

Provides direct patient care in a neuro unit, assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions within established standards. Promotes patient- and family-centered care, educating on illness management, medication, and post-treatment needs. Collaborates with the healthcare team to develop and communicate individualized care plans, ensuring safety and quality compliance. Assesses physical, psychosocial, emotional, cultural, and spiritual needs, respecting patient preferences and barriers to involvement. Maintains a safe work environment, demonstrating alertness and safety awareness.

Qualifications & Skills

• RN license required
• Nursing diploma or associate degree; bachelor’s preferred
• No prior experience necessary; less than 2 years' experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities
