Neuro Step Down Nurse (Part Time) (Days or Nights)

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a specialized neuro unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
• Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, along with professional development activities.
• Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring effective communication across care settings.
• Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
• Works in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and safety awareness.

Requirements

• RN license required.
• Nursing diploma or associate's degree; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• No prior experience required; less than 2 years of experience preferred.
• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills essential.
