Candidate must be BE/BC in Ophthalmology and have additional fellowship training in Neuro-Ophthalmology.

  • Carle Eye Department includes 5 Ophthalmologists, 5 Optometrists, 1 Low Vision specialist, 5 ABOC Opticians and a dedicated Eye EMR support team. In addition to Neuro-Ophthalmology, our specialists include Vitreoretinal Surgery, Medical Retina, Cornea, and Pediatric Ophthalmology

  • Collaborative opportunities with the University of Illinois Beckman Institute for a variety of neuroscience translational research projects as well as opportunity for faculty appointment with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation's first college of medicine focused on the intersection of engineering and medicine
  • Opportunity to teach Neurology residents through our accredited residency program at Carle Foundation Hospital
  • Opportunity to teach medical students through the Carle Illinois College of Medicine

Compensation and benefits

The compensation range for this position is $350,000 - $360,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
