About the role
Dick Hannah Dealerships is hiring a Network Technician to join our IT team. This full-time, hands-on role keeps our network hardware, servers, and infrastructure running across our corporate office and dealership locations. No prior dealership experience is needed. It's a coachable, growth-track position: come in ready to do the hands-on work and grow into a more specialized IT role over time.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site infrastructure work: rack-and-stack, data closet and data center upkeep, and installation of servers, networking equipment, UPS units, and access points.
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco Meraki switches, routers, and wireless access points across all locations.
- Assist with switch, SD-WAN, ISP, and wireless connectivity troubleshooting and deployments.
- Maintain server rack organization, cabling, and labeling to cleanliness standards.
- Handle hardware lifecycle tasks: equipment staging, inventory, RMA coordination, and decommissioning.
- Participate in scheduled night and after-hours work and an on-call rotation for maintenance and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
- 1–3+ years of IT experience in networking, systems administration, or technical support.
- Working knowledge of network hardware and concepts (switching, routing, wireless); SD-WAN exposure a plus.
- CompTIA A+, Network+, or Cisco Meraki certification a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Comfortable with physical infrastructure work: rack-and-stack, running cable, mounting equipment, and working in server racks, data closets, and data centers.
- Physical ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs, with frequent bending, kneeling, and reaching for rack, cabling, and equipment work, including in server closets, data centers, and under desks.
- Available for scheduled night and after-hours maintenance work, in addition to on-call rotation.
Benefits
- Competitive pay: $72,500–$86,000 depending on experience.
