Network Technician Internship

About the role

The position is open to UF students who can work on campus and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA. It is a paid, semester-long internship designed for college students to gain practical IT experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with OSI layer 1 and 2 connections within building networks
• Perform UPS maintenance
• Update documentation
• Troubleshoot wireless networks
• Carry out routine maintenance tasks
• Handle other tasks as assigned by ticket users

Requirements

• MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE
• UF Student Assistant
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Level 2 Criminal Background Screening is required
• This is not a remote position and is located in Gainesville, FL

Qualifications

• OSI layer 1 and 2 networking knowledge
• Cisco switching background
• Basic network troubleshooting skills
• Detail-oriented personality
• Willingness to learn new skills
