About the role

This role is critical in designing and building a world-class fiber network and creating a customer experience second to none.

As a Network Technician, you will work in the physical Central Office, with responsibilities requiring overtime and weekend work.

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain all switching equipment in Central Offices.
  • Keep all backup generators in optimum condition.
  • Install, support, and maintain special circuits and work within the TIRKS system.
  • Monitor and support all switch alarm activity.
  • Install, support, and maintain fiber and copper networks.
  • Support and maintain transport networks and central power platforms.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with both inside and outside plant cabling practices.
  • Self-motivated and able to drive issues to resolution.
  • Ability to promote and sell Brightspeed services.
  • Knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work well with both customers and fellow peers.
