About the role

As a Network Systems Administrator, you’ll play a meaningful role in managing company technology needs, including implementing and maintaining IT systems and networks, workstations, and other infrastructure across multiple sites. Primary duties include solving a variety of server, network, OS, application, and other problems, both remote and onsite. The position demands expert knowledge in Microsoft systems, applications, Azure, Active Directory, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain IT systems and networks
  • Troubleshoot server, network, OS, application, and other technical issues (remote and onsite)
  • Administer Microsoft systems, including Azure and Active Directory
  • Manage Windows and iOS systems
  • Provide technical support and explain concepts to non-technical users
  • Collaborate with teams and maintain strong customer service standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or 3-5 years of experience in Systems/Network Administration
  • Working knowledge of LAN and WAN networking
  • Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP and DNS
  • 3+ years of advanced troubleshooting of Windows OS and application issues
  • 1-2 years of experience with virtualization technologies
  • Cloud administration experience (Azure preferred)
  • Strong soft skills, including customer service, teamwork, and communication
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory administration and other Microsoft technologies
  • Broad and thorough experience with IT support
  • Ability to work independently under time and other pressures

Qualifications

  • Net+, A+, and MCSE certifications (or equivalent knowledge) are a plus

Schedule

Travel is regular but primarily local during the business day. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected occasionally.
