About the role
The Nevada County Information Systems (IS) Team supports the delivery of exceptional community services by implementing, managing, and maintaining reliable, secure, and high-performing systems. This role supports the Server Team and operates under the guidance of a Senior Analyst.
Responsibilities
- Support implementation, management, and maintenance of reliable, secure, and high-performing systems across multiple locations, including primary and backup data centers, and cloud-hosted environments.
- Manage Active Directory, implement and manage SSL certificates, and perform SQL administration.
- Administer and manage VMware and SAN environments.
- Utilize PowerShell, Azure M365, Exchange Online, OneDrive, Intune, SSO/SAML, and other cloud services.
- Implement and maintain systems monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Maintain a strong work-life balance through various activities such as mountain biking, backpacking, art, and music.
Requirements
- Current knowledge in Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Active Directory Management & GPO, SQL, SSL Certificates, PowerShell, Cloud services (Azure M365, Exchange Online, OneDrive), Intune, SSO/SAML, and Cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with SAN Administration and VMware Administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
Qualifications
- Level I: Completion of two years of college-level work in information systems, computer science, or a closely related field, or completion of two years of college-level work in any subject and two years of technical work experience, or five years of directly related technical computer services work experience.
- Level II: Two years experience performing work equivalent to Nevada County’s classification of Network System Analyst I.
Skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022).
- Experience with Active Directory Management & GPO.
- Experience with SQL.
- Experience with SSL Certificates.
- Experience with PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure M365, Exchange Online, OneDrive).
- Experience with Intune.
- Experience with SSO/SAML.
- Experience with SAN Administration.
- Experience with VMware Administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
- Experience with systems monitoring and alerting.
